You get your money's worth. Replacement cartridges are not cheap, but again - they are durable. PROS: Excellent mixing, easy to use/flush/charge/replace heads; Initially great battery life. CONS: After about a year, the charge just doesn't last anymore. Wet the tip, add toothpaste, put it in your mouth, press the button and nothing happens. The small, pivoting round head does little to encourage you to use it like a regular toothbrush. But if you put it BACK on the charger for a few seconds, you can usually "reset" it to give it one last good clean before charging it back up for later use. COMMENT: (neither for nor against): About every 30 seconds of use, the brush sounds like it's oscillating, burping or something like that; I think it's just supposed to let you know that 30 seconds has passed, which is useful after realizing that it should. The red LED light also flashes occasionally, but not regularly - less helpful, but could mean "too much pressure" or something.
