Didn't work on 1991 Johnson 40hp
The impeller key sheared in the opposite direction to the one I was replacing. Due to the impeller collar, you can only install the impeller in one direction. This resulted in the key slipping around the shaft between the impeller and drive shaft and being tightened, destroying the plastic key. Glad I tested it on a hose and couplers and not in a river.
