When I first opened my new copy of the Simplicity home decorating book I was very disappointed. I found missing words and links to non-existent illustrations! What bothers me the most are the dividing lines between the chapters. The table of contents contains chapter headings, not numbers. When the book is closed, the dividers only show the chapter numbers, not the titles. Dividers make using a book awkward when they should make it easier. Now that I've spent some time with the book, my opinion has changed. There are editorial errors, but there is something else in this book: lots of useful information. The sewing technique is explained in detail and clearly. The illustrations are very helpful. They simplify the understanding of technology enormously. People who sew but don't know how to decorate the house will find this book very useful. Beginners can benefit greatly from reading this book. I'm glad I bought the book. I hope they get a good editor for the next issue.
