Review on Ruby Artland Iris 🍷 Double Old Fashioned (DOF) Glass by Eric Wohlman

Posted as a review for both highball and 14oz glasses. We've been trying to get a pair of red glasses for everyday use for several years when we stumbled across these. In every other set we've had, the lenses were either covered in red plastic that would flake off with regular use (despite the advertising saying it was red glass and not red coated glass), or if it was really red glass, they couldn't be washed in the dishwasher. Not very practical for everyday use. When we ordered these we weren't sure, both due to bad experiences in the past and because the glasses looked a bit pink in the photos. It turned out that there was no reason for uncertainty. This is an absolutely gorgeous shade of red, the paint in the jar itself is uncoated and they are nice and thick. Sturdy enough for everyday use and still very pretty. They would be great for people using separate panels for outdoor use as they give off a nice light as they catch the sun. and we'll end up breaking one or two, we'll still have a complete set. We've had them since February 2011 and although they've fallen onto both hardwood and tile floors, they have caught on an edge when removing them from the dishwasher and on one occasion cold liquid was poured into a glass that was still hot from the dishwasher (oops ! :o), not a single crack or chip in any of them. While I've given five stars on Amazon before (and, frankly, tend to be pretty generous with high-star ratings), this is one of those cases. What can I say unreservedly that the product is really recommendable. prowse
