My 16 year old Havanese is very happy with this sling. In fact, he was so pleased that he stayed in it for several minutes even after I sat down on the sofa. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable and wide enough to properly distribute the dog's weight and avoid discomfort. The two zippers at the top are connected by a single strap, making it easy to close both sides at the same time. The top edges are padded well enough for my dog to rest his head on comfortably when walking. I didn't need a fastener to keep it in check, but it seems adequate for the job. The sides are made of durable, breathable mesh and are connected by a 4-inch strip of soft material that serves as the base. Despite the lack of a hard surface to stand on, my dog felt very safe on it. This sling was everything I hoped it would be and more.
