Tools I hate I have to read the instructions before each use. 4 different possibilities - are they different moisture ranges or different types of wood? let's just say wood 1-4. If there was some kind of sticker on the item and a different description underneath, that would be handy for me. will be lost. I've tested various wood objects in the yard, logs, logs, planks and got different readings for the same piece of wood depending on where the wood was hit. Sometimes just an inch difference makes 10%, so what am I reading here? Do we need to keep the tips clean, if so with what product, also there is no sticker on the instrument telling me to do so. So if you like reading little manuals every time you use a product, or if you rarely find the need to use it, check your woodpile to see if it's been properly seasoned, if it's working for you or not whether you get the same results as I have no idea. I took it for a friend who owns a sawmill in hopes that if he can determine if the wood he is cutting has dried properly before using it, he might have better luck with that. I don't have a short-term perspective so I had to read every time, other people with a working mind who didn't have Lyme disease could remember other settings, I couldn't.
