Very clear, average battery life

I have bought many digital recorders over the years and I have to say nothing beats the crystal clear quality of the recording on this model! Also in MP3 settings. WAV is even better. Everything is so clear to hear, not too loud (some recorders are too sensitive and sometimes the sound distorts) and not too quiet, just amazingly perfect and clear. I can't recommend it highly enough. I also like the color (but low-resolution) screen, which displays information more clearly than competing low-quality black-and-white screens. I also appreciate the fact that the on/off, record/save controls are rocker switches on the side and not a button on the front that you can accidentally press in your pocket (like many other recorders I own ). However, there are several disadvantages of this device. My biggest concern is battery life. After recording it for about 12 hours, the battery was almost empty. It might not matter to some, but I enjoy recording a full day of conversations in my office and battery life is an issue. Other similar registrars (like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T1LV1WB/) may take 4-5 times longer. Another problem is related to the cumbersome user interface, it is not very intuitive. Installing the D-Pad controls will surely help. Alao, it takes about 10 seconds from the moment you turn it on until it actually starts recording. Other recorders I have (e.g. Olympus) start recording immediately. But that is not the point. Overall, the sound quality of the recordings more than makes up for some of the shortcomings, and I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a small, portable recorder that's a lot better than other recorders and definitely better than your phones. Dictaphone.
