Ideal for protecting flowers

I use them in the garden to avoid cross pollination. I put an unopened flower on tomatoes, peppers and eggplant to keep my own seed, which will be true. I grow many varieties of open pollinated plants in a small area. Being able to keep my own seeds improves variety and saves me money. I also took some multi-colored twine to mark the fruit I was protecting from cross-pollination. I can take the bag off, hand dust it, and put the bag back on. When the fruit develops I can remove the zip tie and tie it with a tie to save the seeds. I have saved many of my own seeds in the past, but without protecting the flowers from bees and insects the risk of cross-pollination is too great.
