They do the job they advertise. I read all the reviews before buying them and I'm pretty happy with them despite some bad reviews. They are designed to kill any creatures inside and keep others out. Given how tiny these little assholes are when they're young, you have to understand that these pillows can't provide good airflow as a result. YES, the air gets stuck in there (and needs to be slowly let out for optimal comfort) BUT it really isn't that bad (seriously folks, it's not that annoying) compared to the alternative (i.e. snuggling up to more obnoxious unwanted guests than They mean ). I will say that the zipper is probably the weakest part of this product. I have a chair cover that has a very nice fastener ABOVE the zipper (as I've read that that's where they like to crawl through the seams) but these pillowcases don't have that extra protection. Be sure to seal the zippers with tape or something similar.
