This dishwashing detergent was much more than I expected. I knew it was going to be 2 bottles but these are very large bottles that should last me all year round. My dishwasher had trouble cleaning dishes with only capsules. But after some research, it turned out that modern dishwashers no longer have a pre-wash basket. But after learning about the dishwashing cycle, I realized that the initial rinse cycle is designed to wash the worst of the dirt from the dishes, which drains completely, then releases the capsule and starts the rinse cycle. On older dishwashers, adding detergent to the prewash cycle helps remove more dirt, allowing the rinse cycle to clean better. So we put a drop of this dish soap on the bottom of the washing machine just before we run it. Fluff sticks better to food. After repeated use without a dishwasher, the dishes are now sparkling clean and the dishwasher also looks cleaner after a wash cycle. So if you have a new dishwasher that is stain free as a pre-wash, give it a try, it could also help your dishes come out cleaner.
