Review on Biaggi Zipsak Micro Fold Spinner Red Tote - 20-Inch Fashion Luggage Seen On Shark Tank by Dustin Keller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality product with some room for improvement

This is the 3rd roller backpack I bought for my very frequent overseas business trips. I was very specific in my search: I wanted something that:a) is a two-in-one suit case + lap top case combob) has 360 degree spinner wheelsc) is made with good quality materials and workmanshipd) is small enough for carry-on and big enough to hold what a woman traveler needs for 3-4 daysThat's quite a tall order!I'm happy to say that this product actually pretty much met all the requirements, and then some. Some unexpected pleasant surprises include:• Contrastive internal lining materials which look very attractive• Zippered compartments on BOTH sides of the bag for water bottles, umbrellas, and any other small items• Top zippered compartment in front of the handle for small things like keys, wallets, cell phone, etc• From the Biaggi website, I was able to get it for only $150 instead of the $199 price on Best Buy!So, it’s really a great value. But, there are a couple things that could be improved:• The rollers could be sturdier and roll more smoothly. They feel a bit rough when the bag is fully loaded, especially if you pack the bag in such a way that it’s "front heavy” (See next point)• Given the way it’s designed, with the lap top compartment being on top of the suit case compartment, when the luggage is in its upright position, it tends to tip forward towards the lap top compartment side. In a crowded airport, this could become a liability. Today my bag tipped with the handle extended. It almost hit another passenger’s big toe directly! So, when packing this bag, you must be thoughtful about how you distribute the weight of your contents to avoid tipping. Note also that if you do end up putting too much weight in the lap top compartment, your bag will not roll properly. Instead of going straight forward, it will want to towards the lap top compartment, making the bag difficult to controlAll in all, it’s a good bag. I have only owned it for only a couple weeks. I’ll let you know how it holds up over time.Jan 2016 Update:I have now used this bag for several overseas trips and it continues to hold up very nicely. I am impressed with how strong the stitching is, as I really overstuffed it during my last trip to Asia for almost 3 weeks! The tipping problem continued to be a problem, of course. And also the clasps of the straps (that hold the garments down) proved to be flimsy. They are not holding shut well and need constant adjustment to stay in place. But still, it's an overall good value. So I stay with my 5-star rating.

Pros
  • Love it!
Cons
  • The bold red color may not appeal to everyone's taste or match with all outfits
