I needed good workout shorts that weren't too short (and not capris or longer in the summer). They are amazing! Perfect fit for what I wanted - not too short. My Zumba instructor even asked for them - she needs something that doesn't ride up on some of the more outlandish dance moves (can't wear longer pants in the summer either).Side pocket is a bonus when I go to the gym - Everything I carry with me carry are my keys, phone and water bottle. I have size 6 jeans - small waist, fuller hips and thick thighs. The small size fits well (not too tight to be uncomfortable) but I feel like the medium size would have been too loose.
