Review on 🐴 Cashel Quiet Ride Long Nose Horse Fly Mask (QRHL): Optimal Black Fly Protection by Claudia Davis

Better than usual

My horse has a white nose and needs sunscreen to avoid nasty burns. However, she has a lot of trouble touching her head, which is why I also use fly masks. I have used many different masks but this is the best. Although much cleaner, there are no burn marks on her nose (or on her eye, which also tends to get very red). However, this product is NOT REALLY a fly mask. The heavy-duty version Cashel makes works great too, except she loves to shoot (kinda) and loves me huffing and puffing around her field to find the thing. However, the other cashel does not tear so easily. This one does. I gave this product 3/4 stars because I understand that it is not designed for heavy use and should not be able to withstand the wear and tear of my horse if worn every day throughout the summer. However I accidentally got this Cashel Quiet Ride about a year ago and decided to just try it and was very pleasantly surprised when it worked just as well as the durable Cashel Fly PLUS mask, she never took it. out! (Maybe because it's softer and more translucent? I don't know). She lasted all last summer with a little gap so I wasn't too surprised when this summer came and she broke it within the first week. He was old, he was exhausted, I was fine. So I bought another one. The new one lasted a week. I was very disappointed. I don't understand how the previous one lasted several months and this one barely lives up to my expectations. I'm a little frustrated as it costs a lot of money (also the nose piece Quiet Rides aren't sold in stores near me so have to wait a few days for them to arrive). I recommend it though. only warn. He's skinny, and that's the way it should be.
