Great hiking mask.

Without this we would be stuck with the horse. I only use it on trails as it has a barn face that is much heavier. It is designed to ride and protect against the dreaded mosquitoes and all types of bees and flies. She will stop along the way and let me know if she needs it.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • There are mistakes

These goggles are great for trail riding

These goggles are great for trail riding. This keeps insects out of the horse's muzzle and nose (a closed-ear version is also available). It seems to really calm the horses down when walking. Less distractions. I recommend this product. All my rider friends bought it and now ride the quieter (well, quieter) trail.

Pros
  • Inspire confidence
Cons
  • Available in white only

A good coverage for the whole face

The velcro is not very strong. I use it on my horse who has had an infection at the corner of his mouth as it goes all over his nose and side to cover the corners of his mouth. It worked fine but I had to keep his halter on top or he would take it off a dozen times a day. It was the only mask covering that area.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Comfort with functionality

I wanted to buy with ears, but somehow it didn't work out. I prefer closed-back headphones (have bought them before), but the functionality, the material, the viewing comfort through them (love checking their eyes), the fit, the durability, everything is as I expected. I use it daily in the field to protect them from flies. They manage to remove it intermittently, but this is a quick run through on a gentle cycle with a delicate detergent and no fabric softener and I'm ready to go.

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I have an insect sensitive AQHA buckskin gelding who has developed irritating head movements from concern that a fly might land on his nose. It's so annoying to ride because the only thing he seems to be concentrating on is moving his head on the trail. This mask has made him so comfortable and he is very happy that Cashel makes it for horses like him. I bought the horse size for my horse and it fits him perfectly. Very well made and worth the price. It's lightweight, highly breathable and…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Almost OK

But it fits well. for pest control

I was pleasantly surprised at how well it fits my horse - he has a large head and I was concerned about that. That also looks beautiful. He put me on a horse and rode home and then read the package again. I was embarrassed to see it said "DRIVE ONLY". I didn't notice that in the online description. The next day, as I rode to my horse's pasture, I noticed that there were many flies on the nose of his mask. I examined him closely and found that they were trying to get to the spots on each nostril

Better than usual

My horse has a white nose and needs sunscreen to avoid nasty burns. However, she has a lot of trouble touching her head, which is why I also use fly masks. I have used many different masks but this is the best. Although much cleaner, there are no burn marks on her nose (or on her eye, which also tends to get very red). However, this product is NOT REALLY a fly mask. The heavy-duty version Cashel makes works great too, except she loves to shoot (kinda) and loves me huffing and puffing around her

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
