Review on Lenovo Chromebook MediaTek Processor 81QB000AUS by Larry Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for money

I've been using Chromebooks for over 5 years and enjoy the experience. I bought this Lenovo 100e because two of my previous Chromebooks had expired. Google will stop updating Chrome OS in the same way Google stops updating Android phones after 3 years of use. Chromebook updates are better. Most of them receive updates for about 6 years from the date of release of the model, and not from the date of purchase by the buyer. The second-gen Lenovo 100e was unveiled in 2019 and is said to receive operating system updates through 2025, unless Google changes its update policy. The Lenovo 100e is a rugged device built to military specifications for the education market. The case leaves no fingerprints. The screen isn't IPS, but it's clear unless you're looking at an acute angle. The number of ports is limited. There is only one USB port and one Type-C port that is used for charging. I would recommend Lenovo to add another USB port and another Type-C port on the right side of the computer in future versions of the Lenovo 100e. And I would ask Google to keep expanding OS updates for their operating systems. Google's record is pathetic compared to Apple, Microsoft, and various Linux distributions. I recommend the second-gen Lenovo 100e because it's a good base machine, perfect for the education market.
