Review on πŸ”Œ Apple 2m Thunderbolt 3 Pro Cable by Jeremy Gorsage

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best Thunderbolt 3 cable on the market

I' I'm a hybrid shooter of both photography and videography. I am using a 2019 iMac with an i9 8 core processor and an AMD Radeon Pro Vega 48 GPU paired with a Benq SW271c monitor both of which I use with DaVinci Resolve, Lightroom, Photoshop etc to connect the Benq SW271C Am iMac, I first tried using the following cable: [Intel Thunderbolt Certified] Cable is 40Gb/s USB4 Thunderbolt 4 Cable with 8K Video and 100W Charging Power 2.6ft long - backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C This cable However, it produced annoying lag when using a mouse and stuttering when processing video, likely due to refresh rate issues. In any case, Apple Thunderbolt 3 Pro has solved this problem. Also, this cable has the best build quality of any cable I've ever used, better than the Mogami cables I use for audio, for example. Despite being braided, the cable is surprisingly flexible and feels like it will last a very long time. As far as I know, this Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable is an active cable that is equipped with a chip to enable smooth data transfer. over its 2 meter length. The cost is high, but if you don't want to buy twice or more, it's better to invest only once in a quality cable and that's it.

Pros
  • Use this cable to connect a Mac with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) / USB 4 ports to Thunderbolt 3 devices like Pro Display XDR, docking stations and hard drives
Cons
