Nice product when it works. It didn't turn on when I pulled the plastic tab on the back. Then I open the open lid to change the units (Celsius to Fahrenheit), after which it turns on. I thought the battery was dead when it left the factory then it showed a number on it but the temp seemed far off. So I put it in a cooler room (bathroom on the first floor), I feel that the temperature in this room is much lower, waited more than 30 minutes, then the temperature just didn't change and it shows more than 15 degrees hotter on . than the thermometer in my house. And the display disappeared when I moved it. Seems really bad design. You have to open the cover, move the battery, then put the cover back on and hope it stays on. I will not recommend this crap to anyone. Avoid!
