Doesn't work with wall lights

I literally unplugged it for a month to keep it from burning out and working when I need it. It worked when I received it. I needed it in a month and it doesn't work. Now I'm sitting in front of the window and can't reach the seller. Don't buy it if you don't want to use it NOW. So sad. I was so excited about it, but since it was a guest room with the lights off most of the time, I knew I shouldn't leave it on. Obviously it doesn't matter.
