These are amazing lamps. You give so much light. We never use them 100% except when cleaning. We connected the light to the smart switch in the link below. We connected it to Google and couldn't be happier. It can be controlled by voice or via a timer, and you can tell it to run at any percentage of brightness you'd like. Now the tricky part, the installation. I have electrical and construction experience so it wasn't difficult for me. At the same time, a very experienced friend helped me. All in all it took us about 4 hours. Spreading out was easy, cutting holes was easy with a 6 inch hole saw instead of a drill. These things are so inconspicuous that they don't stand out in the attic and don't take up any space. The only difficulty was finding the wire to connect the power supply to. We just hooked it up to the microwave power in the attic, which might not be the best practice, but it works for us. They use so little energy as a microwave oven that it made sense. We haven't noticed any problems. Running the wire down the wall to the switch was a bit tricky, but fairly easy with the right tools and help. It was a great learning experience and now I'm much more comfortable with electricity. I've spent more time in my attic than I ever wanted, but it was worth it.
