I am rating these pants 5 stars based on my first impression of the packaging. After looking at the After looking at the size chart I bought a size 2XL which fit my 34th hole and a decent hip size, they were definitely oversized in almost every way I'm guessing the 2XL inseam is around 32-33 and the decrease is around 36 or more.Measurements I could have left 2XL (the extra length sits on your sneakers/shoes is fine and I might tighten an unnecessary tie) except the crotch area sloped down or was 4 inches lower than I had the pants on at the hip So I reordered the XL and they fit almost perfectly. The Urlaub are comfortable and will probably hold up to a 35 drop or a little more, but they sit comfortably on my hips and don't sag at all under my crotch. The inseam is probably around 30 inches. Sneakers fit easily. The only other impression I have (besides they look exactly like the picture) is that they are very warm. Considering that I generate a lot of heat when I run, I can only wear them when the temperature is below 40 degrees. I'll have plenty of opportunities to do that this winter, so I'll post my recommendations for the optimal temperature range for me. I won't be using them for running in the rain as they aren't waterproof (and don't pretend to be). How much wind they can hold on a bike I don't know, but I might try if I get the chance to ride in temps around 40. UPDATE 12/23/16: I rode in these pants a few times this cold November/December. I'll probably never know their true lower temperature range. I was running in 32 degrees with 22-25 mph wind which resulted in a 20 degree cold snap (what an idiot - it was snowing too!), 28 degrees with little wind and 20 degrees wind and other times 20 but little wind. I have never felt cold legs even when I start walking. As I don't like working below 20 I will never find a temperature where I need an absorbent or other first coat. I haven't tried them on the bike yet. After putting them on a few dozen times, the thought came - they are made for cycling. Zippered pocket openings are located on the side of the pants for easy access when on the bike seat. The lower part of the legs is narrow enough, so I think there will be no problems with the chain. I'm hoping to ride sometime this winter when I have a 45 degree clear road day.
