Review on Renewed Logitech MX Master ๐Ÿญ 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse: Exceptional Performance Guaranteed by Wiktor Barczuk แ Œ

Absolutely useless, bad purchase, sorry to anyone who bought it.

Background: I write code, I use both Windows and Macos. Caught on a marketing and paid reviews on YouTube. In fact, the mouse loses in all areas: aesthetics, ergonomics, functionality. Aesthetics: - The sound of pressing the main keys. Annoying high-pitched crackle that is amplified by the entire body of the mouse. - The sound of additional keys under the side wheel. If, when you sharply raise your thumb from the side platform to the side wheel, you accidentally catch these two small keys with the pad of your finger, then they start ringing like two nasty plastic tuning forks and the body works like a resonator for them. Technically, these ons are just a foldable, cut-out part of the mouse body, not separate elements. - Sliding mouse bases. By the sound - as if they are not there and you are rolling a piece of bare plastic on the table. The situation is not improved by the rug. - Wheel mode switch. With the "smart" mode turned on, one mechanical click is clearly felt inside the mouse when it switches from step-by-step mode to inertial mode and vice versa. Ergonomics: Too big for my average male hand. - A large distance from the finger pad to the horizontal scroll wheel, the wheel itself is recessed deep and it is inconvenient to use, there is no tactility of its rotation. - The on on the platform is pressed only in one small place through the punching of the rubber coating exactly above it. - Due to the tilt of the main ons, you always use the wheel by rolling it over the edge, not the flat part. Otherwise, you have to twist your finger. Functionality: - Scroll doesn't always work! Everyone has already written about it. - Scroll uses a common API for 3rd party mice on MacOS, not something that Apple itself uses. So no native smooth scrolling, just blurry step-by-step scrolling in any wheel mode. - To connect a mouse to proprietary software in macos, you need to activate more security access than indicated in the instructions.

Cons
  • The scroll wheel, regardless of the selected mode of operation, skips part of the turns. Very noticeable on a long scroll through the doents / code. An unpleasant sound of on presses, amplified by resonance from the case. The software doentation does not show all the steps required to make the mouse work properly in MacOS.
