Since the MX Revolution, I have used Logitech mice exclusively. Since then, there have been two more Performance MXs (I bought a pair at once: one for work and one for home), and now the time has come for the new king of the mountain, the Master MX 3. All three of the prior models met a heroic end after two or three years of service due to a bug that causes the LMB to double-click. The clicker could be soldered, but by the time I exhausted that option, I was ready for a full-on moral and physical collapse. The number of complaints about the main scroll not scrolling properly made me feel ashamed, but it appears that the issue was discussed and resolved on Reddit (it turned out to be software). First impressions: the mouse lived up to everyone's high expectations. Concerns were raised concerning the Master MX 3's ergonomics since, while it is smaller than its predecessor, the hand is already somewhat familiar with the former model. As it turns out, I needn't have worried; the mouse sits comfortably in the hand and doesn't irritate the palm; and after just one day of use, I felt as comfortable with it as if I'd been using it for years. Although my palm is not particularly small, I do not rule out the possibility that even a height of 190 centimeters or more may be too much for some people. Please try before you buy is my recommendation. The carcass's plastic is soft to the touch, feeling slightly gritty and rubberized. It makes sense to have the buttons be completely smooth. There is music on both scrolls. The main wheel vibrates sharply with step-by-step scrolling, and the side wheel, though not step-by-step, is delivered with minimal resistance, making for a very pleasurable move. To sum up, you just have to bend it in order to see it. Functionality and output are flawless; the mouse instantly connected over bluetooth, ingested its predecessor's settings (with a few tweaks), and began functioning. There were no hiccups like those mentioned in the bad reviews, and everything appears to function as intended. Particularly satisfying to me was the fact that the primary scroll's button could be remapped after Performance MX (a gap of three generations) (previously it was physically locked to switch the scroll mode).
