I'm an All Clad fan, I have over a dozen items (not including lids) - a big investment given their high cost. Your sieve is a rare glitch. It's very well made from durable stainless steel and quite flashy, with a pattern of medium sized holes on the bottom that get bigger as you climb up the sides. The problem is those holes. Too large. Noodles come in different sizes and shapes; Even the smaller holes in the bottom of this colander can leak pasta, and if you throw away drained pasta, almost ANY type of pasta will end up in the larger holes. I've had rotini that got stuck in holes and strands of spaghetti wrinkled and slipped. Bad design. If you're looking for a FUNCTIONAL colander, try the RSVP Precision 5 Quart Colander instead; With many tiny holes, it drains the noodles quickly and when you pour them out, the noodles slide out smoothly without grabbing or leaving any residue.
