I listened to the rating for this size and I'm glad I did. I usually wear an 8-8.5 USA and tend to be a roomy size. I bought this size 8 and it was a good decision. The width is perfect. I removed the insoles and put on the orthotics but found they still had too much room. I use them as hiking shoes and wanted them to be comfortable. I put the original insoles back in and then put the orthotics on top and it was perfect. They are light. Purple is very slightly red and very bright. They look well made. Very comfortable and supportive where I need it thanks to the orthopedic insoles and extra padding this shoe accommodates.
