I really like this cage, but not because it was "easy to assemble" or because it's "chew proof". It's neither of those. It's made out of wood, so if you have a hamster or another critter that likes to chew, this probably isn't the cage for you. It also has no holes for the screws so I just used nails to put it together. It's a perfect for my two mice, and they don't chew it so that's not a problem for me.Also, if it was me, I would consider hinging the smaller window to the bigger window and then nailing or screwing the smaller window in place on the bottom so that the bigger window opens instead of the smaller one. I did it like it was supposed to be, and I just find lots of bedding falling out and making it harder to close the window once opened. I hope that makes sense lol.
