Spacious And Multileveled Hamster Home With Cross-Over Tubes And Tunnels Review

I bought this for my granddaughter & she & the hamsters love it! It did take about 45 mins to put together but she helped so it was a nice little learning project too. The little house has a window that one of the hamsters got stuck in so if yours is a bigger one you might not want to use it. We had to cut the plastic to make the window bigger but they love the tunnels & all the room to run & play in! Would definitely buy another!

The cage itself is roomy for a hamster so it is definitely worth the price. But the other reviews were not lying when they warned about the assembly. The instructions have no words or details. There’s a few pictures that give a general step by step guidance but it was so tiresome trying to put it together. Ours came out a little wonky because we just couldn’t figure out the tubes on top but otherwise it works well!

Don’t listen to those negative nellies in the other reviews. this cage ROCKS! I set mine up a little bit differently than the sellers image. I installed a larger 8.5” wheel and placed the house, tubes and platforms inside a little differently to accommodate the larger wheel. Absolutely terrible for the price. I was so excited to receive this cage and ignored the few bad reviews but that was sadly a mistake. The materials are all veryy cheaply made, I would return this if I didn’t need it today. Two ladders, 3 tube pieces and part of one level arrived broken, the second attachment to secure the house in place was missing all making it impossible to make the cage look like the picture, instead you’ll end up with a Tim Burton/Dr Suess version. The instructions are terrible and nothing snaps together well. The finished product seems fine and my hammie seems to like all the new things to explore, but wow. It took FOREVER to assemble and required some creativity to get pieces that should snap together to stay assembled. Did I mention the instructions are TERRIBLE? Also, while it seems like a cool enclosure, I am concerned when its time to clean this thing, it's going to be a nightmare to take apart, clean and re-set up. We'll see.

We love this cage for the Syrian hamster we ended up with, but the Roborovski we originally adopted escaped after about a minute. Instructions are pretty much useless but it’s not too hard to figure out. Just time consuming. Took about 2 hours to put together. It’s pretty cheaply made but like I said you get what you pay for. This cage is very cute. It was a bit difficult to put together. When cleaning it, the tips tend to come off which means you have to put it together again. Not only are the only instructions a black and white picture page, in my opinion, the instructions were horribly out of order. If following said assembly order, the platforms are hard to install, you have to take tubes back off to install platforms, wheel and house, etc. All of the tubes come in half pieces, not full units, so you have to assemble these. It was tricky to put together.Two of the bars at the top were not welded good, and our hammy escaped. I actually wire tied it and hot glued it. He hasn’t escaped since. But besides that, it’s ok.I’ve learned some tricks for cleaning that make cleaning a little less of a pain in the butt.

Materials are good quality. Assembly was easy. The instructions were minimal but comprehensive.Cleaning is kind of a pain due to all the tubes, however, it can be easily taken apart, cleaned and reassembled in about 10min.The cage has two latches that disconnect from the base. This allows the whole wired cage part to list off. This makes changing the bedding easy. The two "roof" parts are also easily removable to provide access from the top, if needed.We have two of these cages and are pleased.

I like this cage glad I bought it we have two hamsters and there is plenty of room for them both. however. if you have a hamster that is larger than small size I would take the house out. our smallest hamster got stuck in the window of that small house and I had to cut her out. Luckily my daughter was awake and able to get to the hamster quickly. Take the house out if you have a hamster that is medium or large size! Other than that I do recommend this cage

Our hamster loves this cage. However, as his caregivers- we do not. The multi tiers make it so he is able to push out all his bedding(poop included) onto the floor. Directions suck so much that I wouldn't call them directions. I built it like the picture on Best Buy but once I got it together, the plastic trays kept getting knocked down just from my hamster moving around the cage.
