Review on Spacious And Multileveled Hamster Home With Cross-Over Tubes And Tunnels by Philip Breeze

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good cage, cheap plastic. Assembly sucks.

Not only are the only instructions a black and white picture page, in my opinion, the instructions were horribly out of order. If following said assembly order, the platforms are hard to install, you have to take tubes back off to install platforms, wheel and house, etc. All of the tubes come in half pieces, not full units, so you have to assemble these. I prayed I didn't break one as each was assembled. However, I did break two of the flimsy platforms trying to get them in place after the cage is assembled (as the instructions show). Ugh. The cage itself is fine, and you have to use a little common sense when assembling like making sure the middle roof is secure and can't be pushed up. The bottom is fine. The rest of the plastic is cheap. If I can't get replacement platforms, we are going to have to engineer our own new platforms. Hard to stomach that project when you already spent $50.

Pros
  • The cross-over tubes and tunnels add an exciting element to your hamster's environment
Cons
  • The multileveled structure of the home may make it more difficult to spot individual hamsters if the owner has multiple pets
