While the cage itself wasn't dreadful to assemble, and my syrian hamsters do seem to enjoy it, I do not like it. As other reviewers mentioned, the "instructions" were nothing more than a single black and white printed sheet with pictures of the assembled cage. The tubes seem flimsy, and one of the junctions comes apart every time I open the side door closest to it. I used wire ties to keep those side doors closed because they did not seem secure. That being said, this cage is a pain in the behind to clean. The flimsy plastic shelves are bowed, and my hamsters just love to poo on all of them; I practically have to disassemble the cage to reach them all. I used another piece of wire to secure the house to the cage because there was nowhere and no way to attach it to the sides of the cage. Speaking of the house, the door is big enough for easy entry and exit, but the first time I put my girls in, my smaller girl got herself stuck in the window. twice. Had I known the window was big enough for her head, but too small for her body, I would not have cut out the little plastic piece left there from forming. The wheel is ridiculously small for Syrian hamsters, and my girls have not been in it a single time. Overall, I'd recommend passing on this cage. It looks impressive, but there are better options. I only gave it two stars because my girls like the different levels and the tube.
