I refuse to buy those pointless art and glued leather items that will inevitably fall apart and/or look like garbage in a short time. Looking for a genuine leather garrison belt to replace the one I've had for decades, I expected more from this piece from Boston Leather, advertised as genuine full grain English bridal leather. I can only confirm that this is the stiffest leather strap I have ever owned. It's quite difficult to just thread the belt through the buckle, insert the pin, and even more difficult to thread the belt through the latch. And then the buckle for loading is a little crooked. Softening it with use may partially solve the problem, but after a few days of use there doesn't seem to be any improvement in that direction. And as others have noted, while it's advertised as 1 3/4" wide, it's actually only 1 5/8". In many ways it seems like products that used to have a solid name have dropped their products in terms of quality while still trying to maintain the notoriety. While this item is somewhat useful, this purchase is definitely a disappointment and seems to be yet another example of disappointment from a once-reliable brand.
