To make matters worse, some of the files needed to run the Windows Update service were missing and policies were applied to the device to block device drivers from loading. The latest Windows updates were released in 2019. In short, these devices will be heavily compromised and customized to stay the same. I'd recommend staying away unless you're willing to reinstall hardware with a fresh OS install and accept the risk that the hardware can also be malicious.
