Let's start with the smell rating right away: I was reviewing a face lotion from the same brand and described its smell as a Gillette scent that I didn't like. For me it's in the same fragrance family but thankfully not as strong as a face lotion. This is my preference, not necessarily a problem for most people; I'm very picky about smell. I would like something simpler or no scent at all. I used it after a 1 hour swim session at a public chlorine pool. me into a sneeze frenzy. To be honest it didn't help. I usually use a Japanese brand facial cleanser, which has a creamy texture and foams a lot when rubbed vigorously between the palms. This is a gel cleanser where you will see grains of charcoal. I used a coin-sized pomace; about 3 cents thick. This created a decent amount of lather, although not as strong as Japanese creams. That was enough. There was no particular sensation or sensation on my skin like a minty tingling or anything like that. I would say my face was clean and moisturizer ready afterwards. Can you donate it? It all depends on the recipient. For some, the name of the product might be obvious; for others it can be overcompensating and off-putting.
