My Asus X555L screen was flickering and the battery wasn't charging properly. I couldn't decide if it was a problem with the battery, the adapter, the port, or the laptop. Since moving the adapter/charger and plugging/unplugging the power supply sometimes seemed to stop the flickering and charging, I decided to replace the power supply. As soon as I connected this adapter to the laptop, the screen became bright, the battery indicated that it was being charged and stopped flickering. I've only had it for a few days, but it works great.
