Both of the leggings and top are stretch material. The leggings are quality; thick and long! My 2.5 year old is over 3 feet tall and they still bunch a little at the bottom (which I love). The top is thinner and more spandex feeling. I have my child wear a light tank top underneath and it is perfect. Again, the length for the top is great (longer in both the back and front). I've dried both of them on regular heat in the dryer and they haven't shrunk. I'm happy with this purchase!
