Review on πŸͺ‘ Winsome Wood Eugene Accent Table - Walnut Finish by James Jenkins

Cadillac made of cheap furniture

Of course the thing is cheaply made and far from top of the range. Light and a bit wobbly, mostly because it lacks the weight of real wood furniture. But what the heck do you expect for this price? Honestly, considering the cost, I was very impressed. It actually looks a lot better than it is. Most finishes look like real wood, some of them actually do or at least have a natural wood finish. The missing pieces, the inserts on the sides and back, the bottom of the cabinet are simply printed onto chipboard with wood grain, but they are well made and finished on both sides. There are no rough surfaces anywhere, neither on the sides, back nor on the bottom. At me for the same money seem much worse. Lots of nice little things for the price. Heavy duty stainless steel pulls for drawers and cabinets. Real pre-made wooden dowels to cover the screw holes, no plastic or (worse) just duct tape. The top is thick, heavy wood so you can put anything on it and it won't sag over time like cheaper chipboard furniture can. All drawers and doors fit snugly and open and close easily. Good fit and finish (again for the price). A few dents and scuffs here and there, but nothing a black felt tip pen can't fix. Easy to assemble despite the lack of instructions. Easy for those who are moderately practical. This is good company. I bought another table from them for $79 that is much heavier. Solid wood throughout. Built like a tank. If you want to go without such high-end junk furniture, spend extra money to get it. A real bargain for the price given the quality. All of these things are made in Thailand, which in my experience seems to be a notch or two better than a lot of Chinese stuff. About the same price.

  • Good thing
Cons
