Review on NexiGo Monitor Pan Tilt Zoom Temperature Detection by Sophie Martines

My two-year-old granddaughter is visiting me in September. We're going to try a "big girl" bed and have to take care of her while she sleeps. This camera is PERFECT! Not only does it turn on when there is a sound or movement, but it also monitors the temperature in the room and sounds an alarm if it exceeds the minimum or maximum thresholds you set. The picture is crystal clear and you can zoom, pan and tilt. You won't find these features anywhere else on a camera in this price range. Are there any more children? You can add three more cameras for a total of four and view them in split screen on the monitor. The menus are very intuitive. There's even a lullaby for white noise, rain, sea and birds. No music, as the lullaby suggests. But six different settings and everything is controlled by volume and there are timer settings. If you have multiple cameras, each camera can have its own settings. Some may complain, but I also like that it's a private channel of communication. Don't worry about anyone watching our granddaughter while she is here except those who have a monitor in the house. The range is somewhat limited. I set up the camera in the bedroom you see in the photos and walked all the way to the other end of the house, to the opposite corner of the office. The signal was weak as the connection dropped frequently. It will go over 80 feet and through many rooms and walls. It was enough to get close to the doors of the cave for the signal to be stable. I have a lot of electronics at home and the walls are 6 inches thick in two places between the camera and the monitor. Overall I am very happy with this system. Baby monitor so I can monitor the inside of my truck while we're in the RV. I didn't attach a meter to see how much power it draws, but that shouldn't be a problem for our inverter. If you need a quality baby monitor (or maybe a truck cab monitor), don't hesitate to buy this one! I have several Nexigo products and they are all of the highest quality.
