I have always opened wine by hand and never thought I needed one of these, but now I don't think I can go back. This is really easy to use and works nicely. I charged it fully before the first use. When you plug it in the lights on the top will light up to let you know how much power is left. While it is charging there is a faint glow on the bottom and the red charging light is on. Once charged I used the label cutter to take the top off the bottle then just put the opener on the cork and pressed down on the button. It puts the screw into the cork, pulls the cork out, and then you press the up button to release the cork from the opener. Couldn't honestly be any easier. I like the leave it in the cradle because it gives the kitchen this nice little glow and I know where it is.The pour spout and topper work nice, nothing super special there. I do like that everything has a matching silver tone to it so I stacked it all on the charger so I don't lose anything. I would say this is a nice gift for any wine fan, especially if they have trouble opening bottles on their own. The only flaw is the noise level. It is a bit loud, but not on long enough to bother me.
