Review on Sonax Upholstery and Alcantara Cleaner: 8.45 fl. oz., 250 Milliliter - Effective Cleaning Solution by Chris Lemm

I've heard that Alcantara is very easy to ruin when cleaning so I wanted to make sure whatever cleaner I get is compatible. Sonax Alcantara Cleaner is more expensive than most of the other products I looked at, but it's the only product specifically stated for use with Alcantara, which is why I chose it. I'm glad I spent a little more money. I used Sonax cleaner to clean the light gray Alcantara seat inserts on our 2017 Ford Explorer Sport. I have enough for at least one more cleaning, maybe two. I have read and followed the instructions carefully and am happy to say the inserts look like new. It took two uses to get a few darker spots out, but the tin says it may take a few uses. The odor is neither strong nor unpleasant. You will need to dampen the Alcantara and microfiber cloth (or whatever you use to apply and remove the cleaner). So plan ahead as you will need time for the cloth to dry. After drying the fabric was a little stiffer than before but after light brushing (as advertised but I used a new shoe shine brush) it was as soft as when new.
