I love this great displacement lighting. Our eyes are extremely sensitive to very subtle changes in light in a dark room. This increases the backlight level to the point that you no longer notice the subtle backlight changes that exist in even the best modern LEDs. TV today. I wasn't sure if I would like Lightshift, I had never seen Lightshift in action before getting it to work on my set. I really like this light change. The board works fine. It is powered perfectly from my unspecified USB power port on my old Toshiba TV. It turns on with my TV, for me it stays on for a minute after the TV turns off, which I find ideal. However, it really depends on how your TV works. As expected, it turns on in the same color and mode that it turned off. The remote control works great. Brightness, color and mode can be easily controlled. There are on/off buttons. Brightness up/down. Manual color control buttons that rotate in either direction through a full 15 color choices. Three colors: white, cool white, middle white and warm white. Next are three buttons that set the mode, the toggle bar can fade into a rainbow of available colors, and you can set the fade rate. I thought it might be nice but I don't use it. The transition isn't so smooth that it's imperceptible, so it catches my attention when I want to watch TV. I mostly use medium white or dark blue. Below the mode buttons are 6 direct color selector buttons, three white, red, blue and green. So they directly provide the colors I want and more. This is a very efficient remote control. My TV is about a foot from the wall, it gives off a fading light about two feet around the TV which I think is great. Depending on the setting, it can be lighter or thinner. I can go in any direction from where I look at it. So I love this shifted lighting, I love having color options in addition to pure white. That's a great implementation. I highly recommend it.
