I have purchased these chairs in the past knowing full well that I was involved in this TM. They scratch easily, both leatherette and wood. They are definitely not cat friendly and not friendly to teenagers. The rivets on the back pockets of the jeans scratch the imitation leather. Once a scratch appears, it will NEVER go away. Under the seat is a cover that closes with Velcro to hide the craftsmanship. It is great! unless velco joins YOU! He ruins leggings, skirts and takes socks hostage! SOLUTION: Covers. Yes. I did this. I have bought covers TWICE. These rectory chairs are narrow so adjustable seat covers are a MUST. Velvet steps too, only if on parquet or linoleum. Sturdy plastic legs included.
