Don't buy CAT8 ethernet cables unless you have 40Gb switches. I have 10Gbps switches and it slowed down my network and I went back to my CAT7 cables and my network was fast again. Also, CAT8 cables are only good for up to 100 meters or 98 feet before losing speed. So if you run more than 30 meters you turn your CAT8 cables into expensive CAT7 or CAT6a cables and your performance will be affected beyond 30 meters. I made that mistake and kicked myself at A*S for not doing my research. I should know better; I've been in IT for 26 years and I made a rookie mistake.
