Review on Efficient Recording Solution: VoiceTracer DVT4110 - Perfect for Lectures and Interviews by Aquarium Lanter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The sound isn't quite as good as my DR-05. Although easier to use.

Good registrar; It's just not quite what I wanted to improve on the DR-05. I record a lot of lecture format audio and was hoping to get something I could leave in place and activate with my phone when needed. This recorder has Wi-Fi, but it works in a dedicated mode, meaning you essentially have to manually connect to it every time you want to use this feature. Being able to connect to the network and manage remotely whenever I show up would be nice, but it's not. It still allows me to set it up ahead of time, so it's not a huge loss. However, only one network will remember it, so you'll have to do the tedious task of re-entering your password if you switch. Sometimes it felt like I had to if I didn't switch too. I was surprised to find that when placed next to the DR-05, the sound seemed a little more dull/muffled. Not bad; just not what I expected. I was curious about the possibility of wireless audio transmission. it's starting to stink. The 25 minute conversation lasted 10-20 seconds before I decided to just pull out the card as that would save me the extra step of switching from the phone to the computer later on. I complained a lot. but the registrar is not bad. Turn it on and hit the record button, which might be easier. The battery, which lasted a long time for me, is also great, and who can argue with a large color display. I would say read this and a few other reviews carefully before making a decision.
