Love the way they look! They look a lot better than the old halogen bulbs. These lamps are well made, with a nice, consistent aluminum construction that feels very solid. The outer ring is only illuminated by the fiber optic tube which receives light from the inner ring, so of course it is less bright than the inner ring which is illuminated by the bulb itself. The color is very pretty and looks much more modern than the standard yellow bulbs. Installation is literally a pain! You MUST wear latex gloves or you will cut your fingertips on the cooling fins. Standard bulbs are L-shaped, which gives leverage and makes them easy to twist, while being completely round and difficult to grab, so expect lots of twisting, wiggling, and swearing. Once installed you shouldn't get any more errors, they worked great for me.
