PIA for installation but white/no errors

Advantages: - Cheap white daylight, in contrast to older lamps. My Z4's inner/outer rings are reasonably balanced, but as expected, the outer ring is darker. - no mistakes. I wish I'd read this review first before taking fingerprints while struggling with this - left bulb comes loose when twisted counterclockwise to install, cheap mounting method. A dab of crazy glue on a string will fix this (and luckily didn't cause a haze on my headlight when drying). Let's see how long they last. A few…

Installing a real nightmare in e92 m3

Assembly would be much easier if the rubber seal were different. I have attached a photo showing the original against this lamp. You can see there is a gap difference that makes it very difficult to get in and pinch. We ended up shaving the seal a bit. On the e92 m3, access is from the top rather than the rear, making things even more difficult. The thermal sync on them is also loose and spins like you have to screw them in, Loctite took care of that problem. They are definitely not as pretty…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Looks great on a 2008 M6

Love the way they look! They look a lot better than the old halogen bulbs. These lamps are well made, with a nice, consistent aluminum construction that feels very solid. The outer ring is only illuminated by the fiber optic tube which receives light from the inner ring, so of course it is less bright than the inner ring which is illuminated by the bulb itself. The color is very pretty and looks much more modern than the standard yellow bulbs. Installation is literally a pain! You MUST wear…

Daytime running lights 2011 BMW M3

Bought them to try before settling on the ones recommended by all Lux brands. Thought at half the price it was worth a try to see how long they last. Installation is easy, just remove the OEM bulbs and install new LED bulbs. I installed them on my 2011 BMW M3 coupe. For OEM bulbs, you should not touch the bulb directly without wearing gloves as the oil from your fingers can ruin the bulbs. With LED lamps, gloves are not required when working. A ballast is attached to the LED bulbs and you can…

Good price, installation tips

Installed on a 2010 335d E90. The brightness is sufficient, the colors are pleasant. It modernizes the look of the E90 with amber halos. The first light lasted about an hour, the second about 15 minutes with the tips below. Tips that worked on my car: 1. The bulb is accessible through a round screw cap on the back of the light. There is no need to remove the wheel and fender liner as shown in some YouTube videos.2. Also remove the access cover over the lamp. This is the surface where the front…

  • Ideal for a small house

I bought these headlights for a BMW Z4 (E89) 2012.1. These lights are difficult to install if you have large hands. The shape of the original lights and the "L" shape give you the ability to rotate when you snap them into place. GFJMC lights are round so you don't have much leverage in the tight space you have to work in. It doesn't matter, you could use channel blocking to make the installation easier. This lightweight construction consists of two parts. A rod to hold the LEDs and a base to…

Here's a spoon for lamps and lighting accessories

Before you start, take some blue Loctite for the carvings, loosen the cooling fins and put a few drops on them a few hours before installing. Orange rubber grommet, I think that's the problem people have when fixing the bulb in place. Remove the orange foil and cut in half. I used my wife's razor and vegetable cutting board. Apply again to the bulb. Good for installation. The driver's side rear cover came off easily, the old bulb popped out, the new one stood up and snapped into place. About…
