Assembly would be much easier if the rubber seal were different. I have attached a photo showing the original against this lamp. You can see there is a gap difference that makes it very difficult to get in and pinch. We ended up shaving the seal a bit. On the e92 m3, access is from the top rather than the rear, making things even more difficult. Before you start, take some blue Loctite for the carvings, loosen the cooling fins and put a few drops on them a few hours before installing. Orange rubber grommet, I think that's the problem people have when fixing the bulb in place. Remove the orange foil and cut in half. I used my wife's razor and vegetable cutting board.
