This is a review from day one which I will update if anything changes. There was no aftertaste right out of the box, which seems to be a problem with too many products these days. It just smelled like what you would expect from new stuff. It's a durable canvas lined with very light nylon that I hope will hold up. There are several pockets, two open and one with a zipper on the inside and one open pocket on the outside. The main part of the storage bag is large and some of my various things that I carry with me get lost in it easily, so I knew before I bought it that I would use the smaller bag or bags in it to organize things. That first day I kept a ziplock plastic bag with the product folded in and I use that for my loose stuff in a larger bag. Seems to be a really easy and free solution. A small cosmetic bag from the pharmacy is also suitable. I bought this because the little hobo bag I bought about a year ago because I thought I'd train myself to carry less stuff was always full. I've finally realized that I really need all of these things, and besides, when we go for a walk together, my husband often asks me to put some of his things in my purse. like that . I needed more space! While it's more than I need most of the time, it's not so big that it's unwieldy. I sometimes wish I could take my Kindle with me or a notebook (paper) or a book or even a light sweater and they would fit in this bag if needed, although all of a sudden it would be snug. I think it will hold most notebooks. This is a very useful and not bad looking bag. I chose grey. The main strength is that the handles are sewn the full height of the bag, which makes it very reliable. The canvas also seems heavy. I am very happy with this purchase at this price - $21.59 at the time of purchase.
