Our new favorite backpack

We already have two Osprey everyday backpacks (with computer pockets) and one Osprey hiking backpack which has been passed on to us and this is another great addition to our bags. We wanted something without a laptop sleeve so that we had more space for snacks, a change of clothes, etc. on our little hikes and day trips with the kids. That's great. Lots of pockets and storage space. I particularly like the divided bottom pocket for things that you want to access quickly. As always, Osprey…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Great bike backpack, ideal for camping and hiking

I love this backpack. This one replaces the one I've already worn out. The zippers eventually failed after years of daily use. Sometimes they carry loads over 45 pounds, regularly they carry loads over 25 pounds, they are difficult and comfortable to carry (and carry those loads) while driving. I like the pockets on the waist belt and a pocket on the chest strap. Like most side water bottle pockets, these fall out, but they work well for crumpled items like windbreakers. The mesh pocket on the…

Gotta love Osprey! The best backpacks for hiking

This bag is great for cycling. I haven't had any other panniers before, but this one doesn't seem to make me feel like a change is needed. The design is great and it feels natural on my back. When all the straps are tightened, you can almost feel that it is a part of your body. What I like best is how the hemline is synchronized, which keeps the bag looking sleek and petite. Need more space? When the straps are relaxed, the bottom really opens up to accommodate a ton of stuff. I also have a…

No mercy! (Actually I have no regrets, would buy again.)

I had an old 2000 Kelty Blanca that I had given my nephew and needed to replace. After all my research I finally settled on this escapist. My first trip was for a week across the coast from where I live, including an accidental overnight stay after strong winds, attempted landings and missing my connecting flight (sorry I couldn't properly visit you Boston!). This backpack had everything I needed, it works well with packing cubes, it fits me very well (the backpack is comfortable!) and it was…

The best backpack I've ever had!

I'm 6'1", weigh 280 pounds and need a decent sized backpack for my commute. Most backpacks look childish on me, but not this one. Very comfortable fit and the weight always seems to be evenly distributed. I can fit a laptop, iPads, laptops, chargers and random work items in the area closest to the back and a change of clothes/toilet in the lower and front areas if it's just a one night trip, which is great. When I fly or need to take a suitcase with me for a few days, all the straps tighten to…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

I love this pack! Outdoor activities

NOTE. This review was also published on the Osprey website. OGIO laptop backpack for travel. Then I use it for day trips. I put my laptop away on this trip so I bought a proper daypack. A great idea. Escapist 32 did a great job. It was used in five campaigns ranging from 4 to 8 miles from the plains to Tuckerman Gorge in New Hampshire. For flat hikes in good weather, most backpacks will suffice. For the gorge, I needed extra clothing, more water and other items, and photo equipment. The…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Small things

After a thorough search on the internet I decided on this backpack for many reasons. return. Clearly durable and with plenty of pockets to make small items easy to find, as well as handy storage for keys and loose change. The main feature was the waist belt. Most small daypacks don't have a hip belt or are too flimsy. Most backpacks with a padded hip belt are too big for everyday use. The hip belt makes carrying heavy loads more comfortable by shifting the weight to the hips instead of the…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Favorite cyclist

The Osprey Escapist 32 is my commuting and hiking pack. I've had it for over 3 years now and have ridden the bike over 6500 miles while wearing it. It's light, spacious, durable and comfortable. This is by far the best bike backpack I've ever used, but to be honest I've only tried 4 or 5 others. (leave shoes at work), a few bits and pieces, breakfast, a super packable rain jacket, keys, phone and wallet. This fills the bag less than half full. I can throw in a light jacket, my 14-inch Thinkpad…
