Review on Skin Research Institute Salon Dry by Erin Ellis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

In general I like it very much. BUT.

In general, the hair dryer is not bad. Pros: Really dries hair faster. All the girls in my family have very, very thick hair, and the blow dryer is super effective, even on medium heat and low speed. It's also a sturdier tool, but not much heavier than my old cheap Conair (2.2 pounds with box and box), which is amazing. the promise of a 5-year warranty ex works. It does not exist. The warranty information that was emailed to me is missing and the booklet in the box says "The manufacturer's warranty is one year from the date of purchase." So buyers beware the manufacturer's warranty is only 1 year. Also, it's advertised everywhere that the cable is 9 feet long. It just isn't. It is BEST 6 feet long. Considering these 2 cons, I would NOT repurchase it or recommend it to others, no matter how fast it dries, the price is too high with no warranty and extra cord length. Also, I'm wondering if any of the seller's other claims are lies, which isn't really a good thing. All in all I like it enough not to return it. But I don't think it's worth the high price. I'll try to remember to add an update in about a year to ensure its longevity. I have to say I had my last hair dryer for about 15 years before the attachments ended up falling off and it only cost me $30. I've used it on myself and 5 growing children during that time with no problems (I'm not a professional but I cut and color all my children's hair, my own and sometimes other family and friends' hair. I wanted to buy a more expensive hair dryer, hoping that it has a longer cord and cuts the curling and drying time a bit. So it's entirely possible that using this hair dryer could change my mind for the better over time.
