Review on 💾 2TB USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen2) NVMe Portable SSD by Helix - Speeds Up to 950 MB/S by Michael Straughter

I purchased this hard drive in September 2020 to use in my Final Cut Pro library workflow as my internal hard drive is almost full and too slow for high resolution video editing is. Everything has worked well and quickly until today. The drive is almost always warm, but never overheats. However today I lost access to my 1.2TB FCP library stored on the hard drive and the blue light is blinking rapidly. The Finder showed that the library was empty at zero kilobytes, and I often got the message that I don't have administrative access to the contents (the disk didn't show up in Disk Utility either). Luckily, after restarting the computer and doing more than 6 external drive disconnect/connect cycles, I've regained access and the light is solid blue as it should be. Rating 3 stars for now until I get a response from support as a drive this expensive shouldn't fail that quickly and I'm afraid it will fail completely without intervention. Will be updated accordingly.
