Many audio and video apps allow you to control the levels of external microphones or built-in microphones on the iPhone (which are actually amazingly awesome). Bluetooth works but there is a lag. So if you're trying to monitor how you're talking/playing/singing, Bluetooth just won't work. This device worked with the music app I tried, so it works. But it didn't work with GarageBand, Mavic Pro or Voice Record Pro. All of them did not see the presence of headphones. They fit my case, and there's even a small gap with some room for an even thicker case. But it doesn't do me much good if I can't use it for what I really need it for. It says it doesn't work with the mic, but doesn't say anything about only working with specific apps. I tried Apple One and it works great with all these apps.
