As well as being functional, these extra large lobster clasps are huge in size and can be used and accentuated in bracelet or necklace designs and are not just a useful, functional necessity. The heart design on the inside makes them much more versatile than if they were just standard oversized lobster clasps. Opening and closing is easy, but not so easy that I worry about the mechanism not closing well or opening accidentally. They can be used in eclectic vintage pieces as well as steampunk styles. I could also see them being used for frilly cellphones around the house, although I wouldn't use them outside. I've never seen anything like it and I love how they lend themselves to stimulating my imagination, how I could use them creatively in jewelry making and functionally integrate them into a variety of artistic mediums.
