After being told last year that a water pump for my car would cost about $900 I didn't know what to do. That's not the money I have. My dealership is great for me when I bring my own parts - so after finding this one on Revain I had to save for paycheck. The day I left the car they called me - this part would not work with my car. You didn't quite say it was the wrong part; it just doesn't work on my machine. I have now tested this against all databases. Even Revane said it "fits". But as it turned out I needed several gaskets, a cover/housing and something else. And even using a case/case from my own car wouldn't fit properly. Luckily the seller only checked the item and didn't try to use it so I was able to return it without any problems. doesn't really show the ease of installation. All I can say is that this was not compatible with my 2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.2L EcoTec sedan. Again, although several websites were checked to confirm this was the correct part.
